How the RMLS Alliance Data Share Works in Illinois

Several central and western Illinois communities are served by RMLS Alliance. Listings through our service in these areas are entered in MRED under a data-sharing partnership. Here is exactly how that works.

This area is served by RMLS Alliance. Listings through our service are entered in MRED, which maintains a data-sharing partnership with RMLS Alliance.

MRED and RMLS Alliance are separate multiple listing services. The data-sharing partnership between them means a listing entered in MRED can be shared with RMLS Alliance, so real estate professionals working in the RMLS Alliance area can see it. We do not independently enter listings into RMLS Alliance.

What this means for your listing

Your home is entered into MRED with the same listing information agents provide for their own sellers: photos, price, property details, and showing instructions. Through the data-sharing partnership, that listing information is also available in the RMLS Alliance area.

Listing information may also be distributed to consumer real estate websites through syndication and data feeds. Each third-party website decides whether, and how, it displays particular listing information.

You choose the package that fits your sale: a 6-month listing with up to 25 photos, or a 12-month listing with up to 50 photos and Open House Alerts. There are no closing, transaction, settlement, success, or percentage fees.
